Little is ever spoken about the ground floor of what is now Preston Castle.  The land was purchased in 1890 by the Ione Coal & Iron Company to build the Preston School of Industry to house delinquent boys.  However, prior to that the property was home to the original Ione hospital.  Many people unaware of this experience unexplained events as if they were in a hospital.  Most have no idea that the ground floor up the gentle slope, was a very old hospital.
